The hand-tinting of photographs is a beautiful technique that can make an evocative
print from a monochrome original. The image on the left was a small, but detailed,
4 x 2.5in photo. The resultant digital hand print was reproduced beautifully as an
8 x 12in enlargement.
Of course a picture does not have to be old to benefit from this technique.
